Gain an understanding of how various regions across North Carolina support the needs of different organisms. Have close encounter with native animals and natural artifacts to understand how these environments support the basic needs of their residents.


At the end of the program the student will be able to:

  • State one characteristic about mountain, the piedmont, and coastal environments
  • List the basic components of every habitat
  • Identify two animals and their habitats
  • State how we can help and harm the environment
