Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal and new beginnings, and nature is a perfect example of that.

To our surprise, a family of barred owls nested near our Back Deck a little earlier than expected this year, or at least earlier than we have seen over the past few years for this nesting site. They've even got a little one!

Right now, only one owlet is visible, but who knows how many more may be in the nest? We'll keep you posted...
