Are you interested in learning more about organic farming? Do you want to learn how to start your own compost system or organic farm at home? Learn from the pros!

Microfarm Organic Gardens is joining us this Saturday, March 21, for Bouncing Bunnies & Chattering Chicks. They’ll be talking about urban farming and backyard chicken keeping.

Our own Museum naturalists will show some unique ways to reduce waste using eggshells.

Baby chicks abandon them. You might toss them swiftly into the trash while making breakfast. But families can take another step toward sustainable living simply by saving discarded eggshells.

Eggshells are made of calcium, which has innumerable uses, and can be repurposed for a variety of applications including crafts, gardening and even vitamin supplements.

Our April Creature Feature will also include hand and face painting, a Puppet Show and plenty of opportunities to meet and greet live bunnies and chicks.

Join the fun from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.! All activities are included with Museum admission
